The Lockitron app reports an invalid serial number during setup
If you see a message reporting an "Invalid Serial" number while attempting to enroll Lockitron Bolt, this typically indicates a factory set up error. Please reach out to email@example.com so we can help.
Typically a crowdfunded Lockitron will show "invalid serial" if you've removed it from your account while it wasn't connected to WiFi. To correct this you will need to:
- Go to the support page in the mobile apps
- Select "Update WiFi" and use BlinkUp to add the WiFi credentials
- Once the device connects, the LED should turn green
- Clear WiFi
- Go through the set up process where the serial number should be recognized.
